The Business Explorer page in SIMCEL provides critical insights into various business performance metrics, financial outcomes, and key drivers. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to navigate and utilize the different widgets on this page:

Accessing the Business Explorer Page

  • Click on the "Biz" icon on the left-hand side of the screen to open the "Business Explorer" page.

Main Widgets on the Business Explorer Page

  1. KPI Table
      • This table provides a summary of all the performance metrics for the plan.
  1. P&L Waterfall
      • This widget displays the different revenues and costs up to the Constrained Net Sales In in a waterfall format.
      • Breakdown of Components: Shows the incremental effect of each cost component on the final net income.
      • Visualizing Contributions: Distinguishes between positive (revenues) and negative (costs and expenses) contributions to the overall financial outcome.
      • Performance Comparison: Can compare various scenarios, showing where variances occurred.
  1. Sales & Profit Evolution
      • This widget offers a comparative time series analysis of Constrained Net Sales In across various scenarios.
      • Helps track sales and profit trends over time.
  1. Pivot Table
      • This widget is a dynamic tool for interactively exploring, organizing, filtering, and summarizing KPIs across datasets
      • It is useful for analyzing large datasets across multiple dimensions and users can tailor their view by defining rows, columns, and aggregation methods
  1. Business Drivers
      • This widget allows users to explore the best and worst-performing segments according to selected KPIs.
      • Parameters to Define:
        • Dimension 1 (x-axis): First group-by dimension, such as product ID, category, channel, etc.
        • Dimension 2 (x-axis): Second group-by dimension for further segmentation.
        • Display: Choose to display the top 10 or bottom 10 values for either KPI 1 or KPI 2.
        • KPI 1 (bar; left y-axis): First key performance indicator, such as demand value, demand volume, revenue, etc.
        • KPI 2 (line; right y-axis): Second key performance indicator, which could be different from KPI 1.
  1. KPI Tracker Table
      • Allows users to select a KPI to be summarized for the selected scenario over a period of time.
