You can choose between multiple types of events:

  • Demand Adjustment: allows you to increase/decrease the Demand due to internal or external events.
  • New Demand Stream: allows you to manually create Future Demand for new products (this event will be explained later).
  • Forecast Override: allows you to manually override the initial Future Demand (forecasted by SIMCEL)
  • Pricing Adjustment: allows you to manually set or adjust the price of your products
  • Trade Terms: allows you to model the trade expenses and consequently calculate the Net Sales Value.

ℹ️
Create and assign an Unplanned Event. For example, imagine the Demand decreased by 40% in May 2023:
  • Name the new event " May 2023 drop"
  • Select "Demand Adjustment" as an event type
  • Name the version Name "V1"
  • Select the period from Jan 2023 to May 2023
  • In the "Delta Adjustment" section, set it to "-40%"
  • Write a description of the event (optional)
  • Save the event.

🗒️
Note: There are two methods for adjusting values:
  • By percentage: For example, a demand decrease of 40%.
  • By absolute value: For example, a decrease of 50,000 units.

You can switch between these options by selecting the appropriate choice in the unit selection.

Go back to the Demand Planning page by choosing “Demand” in the left side panel:

To assign the "Event" to "Actual" and adjust the "Base Demand", click on the menu button next to Actual and click on "Edit":

  • Select the newly created event "May 2023 Drop"

  • Click on "Save"
You have been assigned to Actual plan an Unplanned Event and you can already see the change on the Base Demand.

Go back to the Event Management Page Expend "May 2025 Drop", and click on "Duplicate":

Edit the version name to "[user initials]-realized" and set the demand impact to decrease by 20% only, click "Save":
