Demand Events
Under the "IBP" section on the left-hand side panel, click on "Event Management":

On the Event Management page, you can see the list of Events.
Click on "New" to create a new event:

You can choose between multiple types of events:
- Demand Adjustment: allows you to increase/decrease the Demand due to internal or external events.
- New Demand Stream: allows you to manually create Future Demand for new products (this event will be explained later).
- Forecast Override: allows you to manually override the initial Future Demand (forecasted by SIMCEL)
- Pricing Adjustment: allows you to manually set or adjust the price of your products
- Trade Terms: allows you to model the trade expenses and consequently calculate the Net Sales Value.

- Name the new event " May 2023 drop"
- Select "Demand Adjustment" as an event type
- Name the version Name "V1"
- Select the period from Jan 2023 to May 2023
- In the "Delta Adjustment" section, set it to "-40%"
- Write a description of the event (optional)
- Save the event.

- By percentage: For example, a demand decrease of 40%.
- By absolute value: For example, a decrease of 50,000 units.
You can switch between these options by selecting the appropriate choice in the unit selection.
Go back to the Demand Planning page by choosing “Demand” in the left side panel:

To assign the "Event" to "Actual" and adjust the "Base Demand", click on the menu button next to Actual and click on "Edit":

- Select the newly created event "May 2023 Drop"

- Click on "Save"
Go back to the Event Management Page Expend "May 2025 Drop", and click on "Duplicate":

Edit the version name to "[user initials]-realized" and set the demand impact to decrease by 20% only, click "Save":


Assign the newly duplicated "Event" to "Actual" and click on "Save".
Congratulations you have adjusted your Based Demand with the actual performance of a planned Trade and Marketing Event.
